Berry Drive is a significant home designed by the PECK Architecture team. The design takes advantage of the dramatic hillside site on the northern flank of the Santa Monica Mountains overlooking Studio City. The main living spaces occupy the primary view location on the building site, with the kitchen and family room resting below a pavilion roof with fully operable doors on two sides. When the operable glass facades are retracted, the indoor and outdoor spaces merge seamlessly. The main terrace and swimming pool project to the west and provide excellent views of the San Fernando Valley and the hills beyond. We are collaborating with Claudia Afshar to develop the material palette for the interiors and exteriors as well as the pool finishes and landscape elements.

The project includes an attached accessory dwelling unit (ADU), which helps define the edges of the central motor court, and has its own terraces and views facing north and west. PECK performed Architectural, Structural and Civil scopes for the project.

Two signature palm trees have been retained as a feature of the new entry courtyard.
